The New England Philharmonic is a Boston-based orchestra of professional and skilled avocational musicians known for its commitment to contemporary American music alongside the classical canon. Performing primarily at the NEC's Jordan Hall and Tsai Performance Center, NEP has premiered dozens of new works and runs an annual Young Artist Competition for high school and college soloists. The orchestra accepts auditions from string, wind, brass, and percussion players each summer, and audiences can attend a four-concert subscription season featuring world premieres alongside Mahler, Beethoven, and Sibelius.
