Founded in 1815, Handel and Haydn Society is the oldest continuously performing arts organization in the United States, presenting Baroque and Classical music with period instruments and historically informed performance practice. Based at Boston's Symphony Hall and Jordan Hall, the ensemble brings together a professional orchestra and chorus alongside a robust amateur and educational community. Beyond its main concert season, H+H runs the Youth Choruses program for hundreds of singers across Greater Boston, offers free community concerts in neighborhoods from Roxbury to East Boston, and welcomes volunteers and donors who want to keep this 200-year-old musical tradition thriving in the city.
