Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive at home, at school, and at play. The Newton-based Giving Factory welcomes individuals, families, and corporate groups to sort, inspect, and pack clothing, shoes, books, and school supplies into custom KidPacks. Volunteer shifts run six days a week and accommodate groups of up to 80, with no minimum age for accompanied children. The organization also runs seasonal drives including Backpack-A-Thon, Gear Up for Winter, and the Holiday Gift Program.
