The Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) protects and restores the 76-square-mile Mystic River watershed spanning 22 communities north of Boston including Somerville, Medford, Everett, Chelsea, and Arlington. Volunteer programs cover river herring monitoring, water-quality sampling, invasive plant removal, tree planting, and the annual Mystic River Cleanup that draws thousands of residents each spring.
