The Boston Irish Wolfhounds are one of New England's oldest and most successful men's rugby clubs, fielding Division I, Division III, and Old Boys sides that compete in the New England Rugby Football Union. Founded in 1972, the club draws players from across Greater Boston and trains and plays its home matches at Anderson Memorial Field in Brighton. The Wolfhounds welcome experienced ruggers and complete beginners alike, with structured rookie clinics each season. Off the pitch the club is known for its strong Irish-American heritage, tight-knit social culture, and active alumni network.
