GreenRoots is a community-based, resident-led organization that has been working on environmental justice in Chelsea and East Boston for more than 25 years. Staff and member organizers tackle air quality near Logan Airport and the produce terminals, lead the design of new parks and waterfront access along the Chelsea Creek, and run youth environmental leadership programs. GreenRoots hosts community paddles on the Chelsea Creek, neighborhood walks, organizing meetings, and an annual community summit in both English and Spanish.
