The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England, distributing more than 100 million pounds of food each year through a network of 600+ pantries, meal programs, and shelters across Eastern Massachusetts. Individual volunteers, families, and corporate groups sign up for shifts at the Boston warehouse to sort and pack groceries, produce, and meal kits. Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome with parent sign-off; shifts are offered mornings, afternoons, and select Saturdays, and groups of up to 100 can book private sessions. GBFB also runs advocacy, SNAP enrollment, and policy programs that volunteers can support beyond the warehouse.
