The Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation is a member-supported nonprofit that protects and improves the 2,500-acre Middlesex Fells just five miles north of Boston. The Fells offers more than 100 miles of trails for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking across Medford, Stoneham, Malden, Melrose, and Winchester. The Friends organize free guided hikes, trail-care days, citizen-science programs, and family nature events, and partner with the DCR on long-term planning for the reservation.
