The Massachusetts Chess Association (MACA) is the official state affiliate of the US Chess Federation, governing competitive chess across the Commonwealth. MACA sponsors the Massachusetts Open, the State Championship, the Greater Boston Open, the Massachusetts Game/60, and a robust scholastic program that culminates in the State Scholastic Championship each spring. Membership supports scholarships, the MassChess Living Memorial Chess Fund, and prize funds for state tournaments.
